1st Samuel 16:23,
"And it came to pass, when the evil spirit
from God was upon Saul, that David took a harp, and played with
his hand: So Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit
departed from him."
EVE’S RECORDINGS
Eve has always played
the guitar. She always sang songs written by someone else.
She even recorded songs written by others. All the time she
was writing songs of her own, but she never felt her songs were
“good” enough to record.
One night at Annie
Laurie’s, an evangelist friend informed us she was going to Nashville
to make an album of songs. She told Eve she would love to
record some of Eve’s songs because of the anointing they carry.
Eve gave her the right to record two songs. This included
the condition that Eve be given full recognition as the songwriter
and arranger of the words and the music. She also required
copies of the song tracks for her own use.
The woman paid to
have the album recorded in a Nashville studio with Nashville musicians.
The studio called Eve, asking for more songs. This convinced
Eve that her songs are “good.”
A Fresh Sound
She has since made
four albums. She has twenty-six songs, all Scripture-based
country gospel, with excellent music and musicians. They are
as good as any you would find in a Christian book store.
She made the last
two albums in 2004. The studio was thirty-two track digital
with excellent sound rooms. Flame Studio in Fulton, Mississippi
did the recording. Kilby Shields, the proprietor, told her
he knew of some Nashville musicians who played the kind of music
she wanted. They agreed to meet with her. They made
it clear they didn’t expect anything to come of it. They said
they might do two songs.
They were expecting
a little old lady who “thought” she had written something her friends
might listen to. In fact, a report came that one of the musicians
had gone back to Nashville. We prayed and kept the appointment.
They all showed up.
Kilby, the proprietor,
put them in the main studio and Eve in a small room by herself.
She began to play and sing. They fell in with her. Everything
went smoothly. One of them commented, “You sure are easy to
follow.”
Eve has never had
any lessons. She does not read music. She plays by ear
and she composes and arranges her music out of her head. She
just calls on the Holy Spirit and lets go.
The night ended
with eight songs. Nothing had to be done over. The album
was made. They said they would leave their instruments and
be back the next Tuesday. They did eight more that night.
Then Eve asked them for one more. She was not sure it was
a song. It was.
She calls it “The
Intercessor’s Prayer.” She wrote it while we drove from Nashville
to our home in Mississippi. It’s a five hour drive.
They all agreed with me. Not only is it a great song, they
said it was the easiest to follow. So the songs are all made.
They are copyrighted and produced. Those who have bought them
and played them feel truly blessed with them.
Eve’s Songs Bless People
People tell us in many locations we visit that they
play her songs over and over on their CD’s, stereos and car radios.
We have not yet made them available through any marketing avenue
other than the Ministry. We are praying about it and will
take steps as the Lord leads in the near future. They are
God given songs and God surely wants them heard. Eve has chosen
to entitle the last two albums A Fresh Sound From God because
the words, music and arrangement are uniquely fresh and still clearly
and most certainly right out of the Word of God.
Why not let Eve's anointed
songs bless you?
